Also cannot submit papers as a candidate for the seat. It is important to clarify here that the aspirants nominated by the political parties will be bound to attach the nomination/ticket of the party along with their nomination papers. According to the schedule released by the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission, nomination papers can be submitted by the candidates for Chairman, Vice Chairman, Mayor and Deputy Mayor till 25th February 2023 at 11:00 am. will be done and after that the list of eligible candidates will be published on February 25. Appeals against the rejection of nomination papers can be filed by the candidates with the tribunal till 4 pm on February 25. On February 27, these appeals will be heard and decided by 3 o’clock, while on February 28, 2023, nomination papers can be withdrawn by the candidates until 02 o’clock, after which the final list of candidates will be published. According to the schedule released by the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission, polling will be held on March 2, 2023 from 10 am to 2 pm for the election of Chairman, Vice Chairman, Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
