MIRPUR (AJK), (Awaza News) : State-run Mirpur University f Science and Technology (MUST) has successfully achieved the premier “W” Category status in Annual Evaluation of Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, with a record score of 87.24, the highest in AJ&K, it was officially announced.

Under the dynamic leadership of Vice Chancellor Brigadier (Retd) Dr. Younus Javed, achieved the remarkable milestone in the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) evaluation conducted by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad. MUST’s QEC received the esteemed “W” Category with an outstanding score of 87.24, the highest among all public sector universities in Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
Vice Chancellor Brigadier (Retd) Dr. Younus Javed said that score marks was a significant improvement from the previous years’ evaluations of 82.33, 73.86, and 72.63 showcasing a clear advancement in the university’s performance. The substantial rise in the Annual Evaluation score highlights the university’s unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality education, research, and innovation.
This achievement, he asserted, further solidifies MUST’s position as a leading institution in education and research, gaining the trust and confidence of students, parents, and the broader community.
Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M), Vice Chancellor MUST has congratulated Prof. Dr. Khuram Pervez Amber & his QEC team for their outstanding performance. He also recognised the contributions of the former Director of QEC, Dr. Azhar Hussain. Brigadier Younus Javed highlighted that this achievement reflects the hard work & perseverance of the QEC team in improving the quality of education & research work in MUST. The VC, the PRO continued, has praised their commitment & efforts, stating that this success shows the MUST’s ongoing pursuit of excellence in Higher Education.
