Mirpur (Awaza News) Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq’s year-and-a-half-long efforts have finally broken the deadlock on the construction of the 3.5-kilometer-long Rathuoa-Haryam Bridge, the longest bridge in AJK. Opposition rumors have been quashed as the national construction firm responsible for the project successfully completed the first steel and concrete-filled pillar, measuring 45 meters deep and four feet wide, and has commenced work on subsequent pillars.

The excavation and filling of the first pillar, completed in under a day, set an example of speed and durability in swampy terrains. Company sources revealed that after the tender process, the Prime Minister’s directives ensured uninterrupted and high-quality work. To this end, advanced imported machinery, plants, and cranes were deployed on-site.

The construction company cleared the site of water and mud by using bulldozers and trucks, creating a dry platform for work. Deep excavation was then initiated using German-made Piling Rigs. The engineers and staff worked tirelessly to excavate and fill the 45-meter-deep, four-foot-wide pit within a single day, utilizing modern technology and specialized chemicals to enhance durability and safety in the swampy area.
